Imran Khan is granted restraining bail by the LHC

Imran Khan is granted restraining bail by the LHC until March 3.

Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and a former prime minister, has obtained protective bail in a case that was reported to the Sungjani police station. The PTI Chairperson was granted bail by an LHC division bench made up of Justices Ali Baqir Najfi and Shehbaz Ali Rizvi, who entered the courtroom through a large crowd. The bench exercised restraint since the PTI Chief arrived late.

Imran Khan stated as he entered the courtroom, "I need two weeks' respite. He claimed that he kept waiting in his car for an additional hour. He claimed that any jerk could obstruct his recovery and that it would require at least three months for him to recover enough to stand up straight.

Imran Khan claimed that the name "Tehreek-e-Insaf" was chosen because he respected the legal system. On February 28, he stated that he would have an X-ray. Imran Khan is scheduled to appear before a different high court bench after appearing before the LHC division bench to obtain bail in a different case filed with the Secretariat police station. Khan was charged in two separate cases, one with the Secretariat police and the other with the Sungjani police. Khan obtained bail in the Sungjani case, and he must now obtain bail in the second Secretariat police case.

Imran Khan's second bail request was dismissed by an LHC single bench led by Judge Tariq Saleem Sheikh after he withdrew it. Imran Khan apologised for wasting the court's time while appearing before it with his attorneys.

He had been charged in the case by the Secretariat police. Imran Khan encountered significant difficulties when he appeared before the high court because of the large audience that had gathered there. Imran Khan was called before the LHC and given a time of 5 o'clock to appear to obtain precautionary bail in the aforementioned matter.

Khan, however, arrived at court late due to the heavy traffic of party officials and workers. Just getting to the LHC's premises took him more than an hour.

Tight security measures have been put in place inside and outside the courthouse as Judge Tariq Saleem Sheikh's cause list for all other matters set before him was cancelled after Imran Khan's bail request was heard.

Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), had previously been granted one final chance to appear before Justice Sheikh by today at 5 o'clock to make a pre-arrest bail request. Following the PTI Chairman as he recently departed his Zaman Park mansion are PTI leaders and sympathisers.

Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh inquired about Imran Khan's location during the proceedings, noting that it was almost 2 o'clock. Imran Khan's attorneys replied that he was on his way but had been delayed because of a security concern. To postpone the hearing for a short time, Judge Tariq Saleem Shaikh said he was unable to address the security issue and asked that the court's gathering thin out. Khan's attorney informed the court that his client had not signed the security bail application when the session resumed.

The court emphasised that it was unacceptable to constantly prolong the hearing and questioned how the former cricketer could withdraw an application that he did not make. Afterwards, Imran Khan's attorney asked that the application be rejected; nonetheless, the court insisted that the hearing go on. The court gave the attorney a show-cause notice so that he might draught a response after observing that his conduct should have been contrite.
