According to officials, 10,985 members of the AJK Police, Rangers, and Punjab police have been stationed throughout the division to maintain the status quo of law and order. Armed forces from Pakistan will be on hand to assist the local authoritiesThe Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) gained the most seats in the union and district councils in the Poonch Division of the region in the second round of voting. 30 district council seats and 229 seats in the union council were won by the PTI. According to Asad Umar, there is no longer a location in Pakistan where the captain has not conducted the political funeral of this foreign administration. He declared the imported government to be intolerable.

Fawad Chaudhary, senior vice president of the PTI, said that the PTI government held local body elections in AJK after a 31-year hiatus. He claimed that the federal government exerted pressure, appointed people, invested money, and did everything it could to ensure success.

The PML-N and PPP, he claimed, were weighed down by the weight of Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari, thus even then the election results made it abundantly obvious that the contest was between PTI and independent candidates. Dr. Shireen Mazari, senior vice president of PTI, praised PTI AJK for demolishing its political rivals in the LG polls. She claimed that Imran Khan and the PTI have once more received backing from the public. According to Dr. Mazari, the public has once more made it plain that they support PTI.
