India's 215 Sikh pilgrims receive visas from Pakistan to attend the Guru Arjan Dev meeting.
ISLAMABAD: Sikh pilgrims from India have been granted 215 visas by the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi to participate in the annual event that takes place in Pakistan from June 8 to 17 and is scheduled to take place on the eve of Guru Arjan Dev Jee's martyrdom day.
The Pakistani government's commitment to fully implement the 1974 Bilateral Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines is reflected in the granting of visas. Numerous Indian pilgrims travel to Pakistan each year to observe religious holidays and celebrations.
According to the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, Chargé d'Affaires Salman Sharif wished the pilgrims a rewarding and fulfilling trip to Pakistan.
He said Pakistan stays focused on saving consecrated strict spots as well as giving fundamental assistance to the meeting pioneers.
The pilgrims will pay a visit to Gurdwara Panja Sahib, Gurdwara Nankana Sahib, and Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib during their time in Pakistan.
