Google intends to add AI-powered video clips and chat to search.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday, citing documents, that Google intends to make its search engine more "visual, snackable, personal, and human" with a focus on serving global youth.
The move comes at a time when artificial intelligence (AI) applications like ChatGPT are rapidly gaining popularity, highlighting a technology that has the potential to transform society and businesses.
According to the report, the tech giant will move its service further away from the traditional format of "10 blue links" and will include more human voices as part of the change.
At its yearly I/O engineer meeting in the approaching week, Google is supposed to make a big appearance with new elements that permit clients to do discussions with a man-made intelligence program, a task code-named "Magi," WSJ added, referring to individuals acquainted with the matter.
This year, applications of generative AI have caught the public's attention and sparked a rush by businesses to launch products that they believe will alter the nature of work.
