The first day of Eid will fall on Saturday, April 22, since the vast majority of people in the world should be able to readily see the new Moon that evening, Friday, April 21.

 

Only a small number of southern hemisphere nations, such as portions of South America, Australia, and New Zealand, might miss the moon on Friday night unless conditions are optimal or if they utilize an optical device. Eid will begin in those nations on Sunday, April 23.

 

How is Eid enjoyed by Muslims?

 

Traditionally, Eid is observed as a three-day national holiday in nations with a majority of Muslims. However, each nation has a different number of vacation days.
