Iran creates cruise missiles for big achievements in the long range.
After Russia's use of Iranian drones in the Ukraine War, a top Revolutionary Guards commander claimed on Friday that Iran had created a cruise missile with a range of 1,650 kilometres (1,025 miles).
Separately, the chief of the Revolutionary Guards' aerospace division, Amirali Hajizadeh, mentioned Iran's frequently made threat to get revenge on the United States for killing a senior Iranian commander, declaring, "We are looking to assassinate (former U.S. President Donald) Trump."
Hajizadeh stated on state television that "our cruise missile with a range of 1,650 kilometres has been added to the missile arsenal of the Islamic Republic of Iran." The new Paveh cruise missile was purportedly first seen in what was televised on television.
When Iran launched a ballistic missile attack against U.S.-led forces in Iraq days after Iranian military commander Qassem Soleimani was killed in a U.S. drone strike in Baghdad in 2020, according to Hajizadeh, Iran did not aim to harm "poor soldiers."
"God willing, we intend to assassinate Trump. Hajizadeh stated in the televised interview that military leaders who gave the order to murder Soleimani, including (former Secretary of State Mike) Pompeo, "should be killed." Iranian officials have frequently pledged on strong terms to exact revenge on Soleimani.
Iran has increased the scope of its missile programme, particularly its ballistic missiles, despite US resistance and European countries' expressed concerns. According to Tehran, the programme is solely defensive and deterrent in nature.
Iran claims to have given Moscow drones before the Ukraine War. Russia has targeted infrastructure such as power plants and buildings with the help of drones. The Pentagon stated in November that the US had doubts about claims citing Hajizadeh as stating Iran has created a hypersonic ballistic missile.
