 PCB releases the Pakistan Super League 8 schedule for 2023.

 

The eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been announced by Najam Sethi, chairman of the PCB Management Committee. The eagerly anticipated league will be held in Karachi, Multan, Lahore, and Rawalpindi from February 13 to March 19. The PSL 8 will be split into two legs, with matches taking place at Multan Cricket Stadium and National Bank Cricket Arena from February 13 to February 26 and subsequently at Gaddafi Stadium and Pindi Cricket Stadium from February 26 to March 19. The Qualifier, two Eliminators, and the Final will all take place from March 15–19 at the cricket stadium in Pakistan.

The majority of the games will take place in Rawalpindi, which will host 11, while Karachi, Lahore, and Multan will each host nine games. The opening ceremony will be held in Multan for the first time ever. More than 36 foreign athletes representing ten different nations will compete in the tournament.

 

Venues

During the 2023 season, matches will be played in Multan, Peshawar, Lahore, and Karachi, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board. The locations in 2022 additionally included Lahore and Karachi. Later, it was determined that Peshawar's Arbab Niaz Stadium was unfit to host any of the competition's games. The Bugti Stadium in Quetta was subsequently added to the list of PSL venues but was quickly withdrawn for practical reasons.
