GOOGLE SUSPENDS CARRIER-PAID APPS IN PAKISTAN

Google suspends carrier-paid applications in         Pakistan temporarily

Due to a payment issue, Google on Friday temporarily blocked carrier-paid apps for Pakistani users in the Play Store. It should be highlighted that the decision to halt the direct payment method by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) is what caused the 34 million dollar payment to be stopped.

Google has now indefinitely halted Carrier Paid Apps in Pakistan for the aforementioned reason. The temporary suspension of Google's Career Paid apps has been confirmed by the Ministry of IT. The option to download paid apps via a mobile phone account has been temporarily suspended, according to the IT Ministry.

According to Ministry of IT officials, the federal minister of IT has directed the authorities to address the issue as quickly as feasible. A $34 million payment suspension by The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to international service providers might have prevented inward mobile users from downloading paid Google Play Store services using their mobile balance as a source of payment starting on December 1, 2022.

The federal government also declared it will develop a policy within a month after the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) .
